I find the whole sponsorship piece intriguing for association conferences.   The usual hampster wheel is that you call up "Bob" and ask if he would do the same sponsorship as last year.  "Bob" knows that it is in his budget so he gives the green light.

Like every other year, Bob's company gets a sign as attendees enter the conference, the brand on a lanyard, and an ad in the conference program.
